Environment Impact
Organic farming is kinder to the environment because it works with nature, not against it. It doesn’t use artificial fertilizers that harm animals and drain into the soil and the water system. Research shows that organic farms are havens for wildlife providing homes for bees, birds and butterflies. It is estimated that wildlife is up to 50% greater on organic farms.
Impact on our health
Conventional produce is grown using many pesticides and chemical fertilizers that are known or suspected to cause brain and nervous system damage, cancer, disruption of the endocrine and immune systems, and other toxic effects. Organic produce doesn’t contain most of these pesticides and chemicals.
